We present to you Josée Beaulieu, teacher at Victor-Doré school and member of the board of directors.
Good morning,
My name is Josée Beaulieu and I have been teaching at Victor-Doré for many years. I set foot there for the first time 25 years ago.
Since then, I have worked in several sectors: severe to profound intellectual disability, in academics with young people experiencing difficulties and now I am with senior graduates in the academic sector.
I have a fairly complete vision of the school, which is why I think I can represent it well at the Foundation.
Long live our little and big Heroes who are the students of the Victor-Doré and Joseph-Charbonneau schools.

We would like to introduce you to Ms. Linda Bouchard, member of the board of directors.
I am the proud grandmother of 4 beautiful daughters. One of them has been going to Victor-Doré for 5 years.
This school, as well as Joseph-Charbonneau, which she will attend in secondary school, allow young people to learn, flourish and become as independent as possible despite their disabilities. You must have visited these schools to see the benefit that everyone who works there brings to the students and their families. They have only one goal in mind, the well-being of young people. The Everyday Heroes Foundation provides schools with funding to acquire tools to facilitate learning and add to the well-being of these young people with special needs.
I am involved in the foundation because I am extremely grateful for everything it provides to my granddaughter Laurie and her mother, my daughter.
Thank you in advance for your support in this great cause that is close to my heart. It also allows me to meet (virtually, of course) very beautiful people with very big hearts.
December 17, 2020
We present to you Danielle Vien, secretary of the Everyday Heroes Foundation.
I am Danielle Vien, retired from teaching but still very active. I do everything: arts, sports and volunteering. In fact, I have been involved for many years with various organizations which all have, directly or indirectly, a link with young people.
For two years, I have sat on the board of directors of the Everyday Heroes Foundation. I am a secretary there. Why this particular foundation? Because I come into close contact with certain parents and their children who have disabilities. Having already worked with a clientele with specific needs, I understand a little of what they are going through and I say to myself that if my small participation helps to lighten the lives of these people, so much the better!
Furthermore, I find that this foundation really does a lot of good around it through its activities and those it finances.
Would you like to get involved? There is room for you!
December 13, 2020
We would like to introduce you to Ms. Francine St-Denis, who has worked at the foundation for over 15 years. Thank you Ms. St-Denis for your loyalty!
Here is his presentation.
For about fifteen years, I have been a member of the board of directors of the Everyday Heroes Foundation, the Victor-Doré and Joseph-Charbonneau schools, a cause that is very close to my heart.
Over the years, I have held positions of
secretary-treasurer, handing over last year that of secretary to a new member.
I got involved, despite not having a disabled child, wishing that my collaboration could help, with the aim of lightening the daily lives of these young people and providing a balm to the hearts of their parents, who are experiencing difficulties. bereavement and grief upon learning that their child will be disabled for the rest of their life. (And sometimes even their children…)
I empathize enormously with them and I admire their moral strength and their resilience, facing the heavy daily task that they carry out with love. And what can we say about the life lessons that these young people give us, through their way of being and doing, being slightly or severely disabled, both mentally and physically! I can tell you that instead of “navel-gazing” it helps to put the trials of a life into perspective…
For all these reasons, I am proud of my voluntary involvement, which allows me to experience different emotions and experiences, rich in human meaning.
